Something to think about…
I ran across this quote during my travels over these here internets today. Sounds a bit like a certain regime in charge of a certain superpower that I know.
“Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.
— Nazi Reich Marshal Hermann Göring during the Nuremberg Trials.
I know it’s bad form to compare anything or anyone to the Third Reich or National Socialism, but DAMN. I don’t think this is a comparison, I think this is an emulation on the part of Bush and his followers. Scary stuff.
Yeah, I know, it snowed a lot. I have plenty of bitching to do about that, but I haven’t the time right now.

All of the Muslim extremists are also a very scary thing. I think that the American government knows more than what they are telling us, and that is what our government is trying to counter. Try watching Glenn Beck’s show on YouTube about Iran and their allies. He is showing a lot of scary stuff that main-stream American media, for some reason, tends to ignore. I’m worried about the future of Western civilization. Glenn Beck is trying to tell us something, and as much as I hate to admit it, I think Rush is also on to something with all of his ideas. We’re in a bad way, and if we lay down now, I’m afraid we’ll end up like France in WWII, only nobody will be there to save our ass like we did for France. I believe that it is VERY unnecessary to compare us, and OUR government, to those ideas of Nazi Germany. It’s time we step up and let the rest of the world know we are not just going to lay down and let them tell us how things are supposed to go. Obviously there is not another country with a backbone, so we need to make the next step. I’m ready to battle if they think our “way” is so wrong. I love the people I know, and I am definitely ready to defend them and what we do.

You’re missing the point. The point is that Bush and his regime are using propaganda tactics frighteningly reminiscent of the Third Reich to sway the opinions and will of the people.
As long as we continue to force our way of life on people in the East and Middle East, including initiating unjust and ILLEGAL warfare, we will continue to sustain terrorist attacks. That’s a fact. If I kick my neighbor’s fence down, and he kills my dog in retaliation, I’m probably not going to kick the fence down anymore. It’s a pretty simple concept that Fuhrer Bush doesn’t seem to grasp.

If you kicked down my neighbor’s fence and didn’t have any reason to do so, I would hope that they would kill your dog too. If you blow up OUR buildings, I would probably come after your “dog”. The propaganda you speak of happened to come in the form of a couple of airplanes destroying a couple of America’s most cherished buildings. If you feel so compelled toward the middle east and their counterparts, you are definitely not welcome by them. However, you are definitely welcome to go there by OUR people.

And what, exactly, does Iraq have to do with the buildings that got blown up? It’s officially been stated that Al-Qaeda had nothing to do with Iraq. That’s why Bush had to lie about WMD’s to start Daddy’s War back up. Sure, Al-Qaeda is there now because they’re helping the Iraqi guerillas, but they weren’t there in association with the World Trade Center.
