January 2008

Bill complained about the food, PH told a funny story about a knife, Jim Shaddid and some other guy were there, Katie had nachos and biting wit, Jen abandoned me again, PI was a no-show AGAIN. There’s your recap, PI.

That’s all, really. I just wanted to say that.

As of January 1st, I am no longer allowed to smoke in certain pieces of private property because of a public health risk. In accordance with this line of thinking, I ask that lawmakers ban the following from all workplaces and restaurants:

-Aerosol containers

-People with any communicable disease, including the flu and common cold. 36,000 people die of influenza every year. It’s not fair to put people’s lives at risk because some Walking Petrie Dish of Death wants a Santa Fe Chicken Salad.

-Metal fasteners

-Paint or varnish

-Alcohol, known to impair judgement and reaction times. They tried that? Really?

-Fluorescent lighting, which is an eye irritant.

-Spicy foods, which can cause irritation in the mouth, and in some cases, death.

-Hot liquids, including coffee and tea, due to risk of burning or discomfort.

-Cold liquids, which are proven to cause hypothermia

-Pork, chicken, and beef, all of which are known carriers of parasites.

-Air conditioning

-Loud noises. Prolonged exposure to high levels of noise can cause hearing loss.

-Windows, which can be mistaken for open space, causing a person to walk into them. This creates an unnecessary risk of bodily harm.

-Stairs and unlevel flooring. We have to keep people from tripping or stubbing their toes.

-Customers. Letting people go anywhere is asking for trouble.

Please urge your local representative to support these crucial measures so we can all dine in safety. Staying out of places with these safety risks is not an option, as people have no free will and are forced to dine alongside those who don’t care about their own welfare.

Well, I’m assuming everyone who is going to vote has already voted. The final total is 5-5, and since I’m the one organizing, I say we have it at Grand Prairie. SO, the final answer is:

6 PM-???
Buffalo Wild Wings
5121 W American Prairie Dr
Peoria, IL 61615

The moe. show in Milwaukee is only 10 days away, and I’m getting really excited. After seeing them all three nights at Summercamp last year, I’m definitely hooked. I’m really anxious to see if they play a lot of songs off the new album. The show is being held at the Eagles Club right in the middle of Milwaukee, which I’m told is historic for some reason or another. It’s part of a larger musical complex called the Rave. I’ve already booked the hotel, which is only a mile and I’m being assured I will be reimbursed for by the people going with me. Not you, Brando. Reno and Beth. The best part about going to Wisconsin for the weekend (besides seeing moe.)? YOU CAN SMOKE IN BARS IN MILWAUKEE!

Also, I got the first email from JayTV about Early Bird Summercamp tickets going on sale. Only $95 for a limited time! If I hadn’t just spent all that money on the hotel, and Beth’s birthday wasn’t coming up in less than a month, I would jump all over it. Alas, I’ll have to wait.

IT’S TOO FUCKING COLD TO SMOKE OUTSIDE YOU CHICAGO MOONBAT PINK-LUNGED FUCKING ASSBAGS!!!!!!

I need everyone’s official preference for Buffalo Wild Wings location. The choices are East Peoria or Grand Prairie. So far, I’ve got PI and Katievoting for EP along with me, and Sue and I Do Not Know Me voting for Grand Prairie. I believe Billy also prefers Grand Prairie, but if Mr. Dennis could verify that, I would appreciate it.

Update: I am changing my vote to Grand Prairie. There are two reasons for this:

1.) They have a heated patio. I smoke.

2.) I will be housesitting in Weaver Ridge and Grand Prairie is MUCH closer.
